Gurdwara Panja Sahib

Gurdwara Panja Sahib is located in the town of Hasan Abdal in Northwestern Punjab, Pakistan. It is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites for Sikhs who visit Pakistan. Usually large groups visit at the time of Vaisakhi. It is a beautiful Gurdwara set in the middle of a tank of water from the natural spring. On one side of the tank is the fabled boulder with the hand print of Guru Nanak. The spring water is so clear and fresh and the pool has many fish which also seem attracted to the boulder. Stepping into the pool and touching the stone was a highlight. Just the thought of our ancestors, grandparents and others who would have come to this spot and placed their hand was a wonderful feeling.
