Gurdwara Sacha Sauda

The story of the “True Bargain” or Sacha Sauda is well known. Guru Nanak was given 20 Rupees (a large sum in those days) to go out and buy items for sale in order to make a profit. But the Guru met a group of hungry saadus (religious men) and decided to feed and clothe them. It is at this place that Maharaja Ranjit Singh had built an impressive Gurdwara in the form of a fort.
